How to read a certificate
Each report lists the tests run on the sample the lab received, each with its own specification and result.
- Identity. LC-MS measures the mass of the compound. It passes when the observed mass is within 1 Da of the theoretical mass.
- Purity. RP-HPLC at 214 nm, reported as area %. The reports state their acceptance limit next to the result.
- Net peptide content. The amount of peptide measured in the vial, in mg, compared with the label claim (accepted within 10%).
- Sterility, rapid PCR. A screen for microbial DNA. It is not a colony count and not a batch sterility test.
- Fentanyl screen. A targeted LC-MS/MS screen against a stated detection limit. It is not an exhaustive adulterant panel.
The lab states that results relate only to the item or portion tested, and that a PASS means only that the reported result met the specification shown. Where a report has a verify link, it opens the lab's own page to confirm the report is genuine.
